Julie Sandvig
Dolce Director and Social Media Manager
Julie Sandvig is excited to join the OYC team as Dolce director. With over 20 years of music education experience, she has a gift for teaching music in a fun, engaging, and nurturing style. She has called Olympia her hometown for decades and is so thankful for the music community here, and the emphasis on arts education.
Julie has a private violin studio and is on staff with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra as Principal Second violin and social media manager.
Our Story
A vision to create more opportunities for young singers

Olympia Youth Chorus was founded in 1995 with a vision for providing an artistic outlet for young singers in our community. Dedicated to excellence, our award winning program has been inspiring and educating young singers for over 25 years. OYC includes over 100 youth in five individual choirs, representing over forty schools in our area. Our choirs have been invited to perform regionally, nationally and internationally.
Our singers experience the joy of singing with others who share their love of music and performance.
The choirs rehearse one evening per week during the regular school year at a local church in Olympia.

We are an Artistic Partner of the Washington Center for the Performing Arts and a member choir of the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium.
